Two Treatises on the Prayer (The Prayer & Its Importance and the Incumbency of Offering the Prayer in Congregation) the salat has a great status in Islam and it has been warned against neglecting its performance. Whosoever hears the call to salat, and does not respond, and then there is no salat for him unless he has a valid excuse.
